Neighbor2Neighbor ([n2n]- EIN 26-0346152) is a small Ministry serving persons dealing with addiction, homelessness and near homelessness, and in need of help. Our location is on the East side of Kansas City, Missouri at 2910 Victor St., KCMO in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. Homelessness is a major problem in most major cities, and our metro area is no exception. In Kansas City recent reports estimate the number of homeless individuals approaches 2,000. While there are many programs that feed and clothe our homeless, there are few that actively work to go beyond meeting these basic needs.
Neighbor2Neighbor seeks to end homelessness by (1) meeting basic needs of food and clothing and (2) addressing the root causes of homelessness through case management and referrals to services that address mental health and substance use, often associated with life on the streets. N2N has an almost 30-year track record of helping people get off the streets and on a path to a better life. On an annual basis, N2N places more than 100 homeless individuals into recovery housing or treatment centers through its case management and referrals, ofter reconnecting parents with their children. We do this by networking with a dozen different agencies in Kansas City. While this is over 5% of the homeless in Kansas City, with your help we can support more people.
As a small ministry, N2N was still able to create a huge impact in serving the homeless and near homeless in 2024. In 2023, we were able to provide almost 32,000 meals and 973 changes of clothing. We also provided 456 hygiene kits. We have a group of loyal supporters who aid in these humanitarian efforts, but our programs could grow with additional supporters.
Our critical needs are fiduciary funds, staffing and supplies to continue to serve our growing number of daily guests.
